Ms Shabnam Ahmadi is a Nurse Practitioner and Credentialled Diabetes Educator. She holds a Master of Nurse Practitioner and a Master of Advanced Health Practice (Diabetes Education and Management), as well as qualifications in surgical assisting and weight management from Southern Cross University.
Shabnam provides diabetes education services in Narre Warren, Berwick, Mornington, and via mobile services across Victoria. She also works in the public health sector with Monash Health.
Shabnam works as a Surgical Assistant in private healthcare settings, within her scope of practice.
Outside of her professional role, Shabnam enjoys spending time with family and friends and maintaining an active lifestyle.
Ms Kanaga Lagma is a qualified Nurse Practitioner and Credentialled Diabetes Educator through the Australian Diabetes Educators Association. She has extensive expertise in the management of chronic conditions, including chronic heart failure, COPD, asthma, and diabetes.
Ms Lagma holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Chronic Disease Management and Palliative Care, a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Management, and advanced qualifications in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Studies. She has also completed a Weight Management course through the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners.
With experience across both public and private healthcare settings, Ms Lagma is committed to delivering holistic, patient-centred care. She focuses on providing education, support, and evidence-based management strategies to empower patients in effectively managing their chronic health conditions and improving long-term health outcomes.
Mr Darren Webb is an Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon with sub-specialist training and special interest in adult and paediatric orthopaedic trauma and their sequelae, foot and ankle surgery, joint replacement surgery and sports medicine.
Darren grew up in Melbourne, initially completed a physiotherapy degree and worked in sports and acute trauma care and rehabilitation. Darren went on to complete his medical degree with honours at The University of Melbourne. He undertook intern and surgical residency training at St. Vincent’s Hospital and was selected for specialist orthopaedic training through the Australian Orthopaedic Association and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Darren has completed a dedicated sub-specialist foot and ankle Fellowship at The Epworth Hospital and St. Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne to ensure the highest level of care for his patients. During his appointment at Monash Health as an orthopaedic consultant, he has furthered his expertise in adult and paediatric fracture management, limb reconstruction surgery, joint arthroplasty including computer navigation and robotics, and sports injury management.
Currently, Darren consults at Monash Health, St. John of God Berwick, Holmesglen Hospital (Moorabbin) and Cabrini Hospital Brighton and Malvern. He is the Director of Orthopaedic Training at Dandenong Hospital and has developed and co-ordinates the orthopaedic high-risk foot clinic. He has been an invited speaker at many local, national and international conferences.

Mr Namal graduated from the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka and then completed his internship at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, UK. He started his surgical training in Yorkshire and obtained MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Namal began and completed Plastics and Reconstructive training in Australia and has worked with many reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons at hospitals in Canberra, Melbourne, and Perth, he now calls Melbourne home. He has worked in the specialty for over 10 years now gaining vast experience in many aspects.
Namal currently has public appointments at Monash Health, and Peninsula Health, and has worked in Victorian Adult Burns Service – Alfred Hospital. Namal is very passionate about plastic surgery and always tries to achieve the best possible outcome for his patients. He always walks with the patients throughout their surgical journey beside them and every single step will be explained thoroughly. He is aware of his own limitations. Being a devoted husband, father, and son, Namal understands the importance of treating patients the way you would like your family members to be treated.
Mr Travis Ackermann is a specialist Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic and General Surgeon with expertise in advanced minimally invasive (laparoscopic/keyhole) and open techniques.
After obtaining his degree in Biomedical Science (Bsc. Hon) at Victoria University, Mr Ackermann completed his medical studies at the Australian National University (MBBS Hon). He returned to Melbourne and in 2017 was awarded his FRACS after finishing his General Surgery training at Monash Health. A further three years of postgraduate fellowship training followed, at the Canberra Hospital, Monash Medical Centre and Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide through the Australian & New Zealand Hepatic, Pancreatic & Biliary Association (ANZHPBA) training programme. In addition, Mr Ackermann has pursued his interests further in minimally invasive surgery through a number of international workshops in Tokyo, Japan and Strasbourg, France.
Currently, Mr Ackermann has appointments with Monash and Bass Coast Health performing HPB and General Surgery and consults in Berwick, Narre Warren and at Bass Coast Health. In addition to operating at Wonthaggi, Casey, Dandenong and Monash Clayton public hospitals he also has private lists at Jessie McPherson, Mulgrave and St John of God Berwick. Mr Ackermann is passionate about education and research and has published several articles in both HPB and General Surgery. He is also involved in the surgical teaching of medical undergraduates, junior medical staff and surgical trainees.
Shamim is an accredited member of the Australian Counselling Association. Her critical focus on mental wellbeing and expertise in cross-cultural issues, anxiety, depression and self-esteem making her a valuable asset to our clients. Ms Ahmadi holds a Master of Counselling from Monash University and a Bachelor of Social Sciences, Major Psychology and Human Resources from Swinburne University.
Kyle is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. Kyle is dedicated to evidence-based exercise intervention for the prevention and management of chronic disease, injury, and disability. With experience across private practice, and compensable schemes, Kyle delivers tailored exercise programs that prioritise safety, function, and long-term health outcomes. His approach is grounded in clinical reasoning, client education, and interprofessional collaboration.
Hassan provides a variety of services encompassing behavioural coaching, health education, exercise counselling, and physical rehabilitation. Among these services are the creation of personalised exercise programs, encouragement of leisure activities and active habits, as well as counselling aimed at decreasing sedentary behaviours. To ensure safety, effectiveness, and long-term sustainability, an assessment will be conducted prior to commencing the training.
